Avid skeet competitor.

Interested to see pics and thoughts/experience of shotguns that other competitors utilize (skeet, clays, trap, 5 stand)
Other info like: round count, reliability, personal insight....would be beneficial.

Pics optional btw.

Would like to soak up info from other competitors, whatever it may be.

Cheers.

I'm not a competitive shooter but on a good day I can do 50 straight. I use a 12 ga baikal ij58 m. 28 5/8" f/m and shoot 7 / 8oz #8 in a Grey claybuster wad. Choke for smoke. The fits perfectly and it's used for hunting and any clay game I can shoot. I bought it used. It was so tight I had to break it over my knee. Now after 26 000+ rounds its smooth as silk and the triggers are amazing (for a baikal) never had an issue mechanical. Ascrew on the for arm works loose every few hundred rounds. Just never got around to adding lock tight. Other then that I use a rem 1100 and mossberg pumps.
I like to shoot fast and the full choke is a major disadvantage but I love to smoke the targets. I find if I don't smoke them I start lifting my head and we all know how that ends. Most of the trap I shoot is a mossberg 535 or Ithaca 4e single barrel straight stock.

I've never gone 100 straight in skeet but have got 2 99s and countless 96s

Beretta 682 gold e sporting, 32" barrels, adjustable comb. I mainly shoot skeet, but also sporting and trap. 10k+ rounds downrange per year for the last 4 years. And its been hard use in all weather with minimal maintenance. No malfunctions, no issues, no complaints. Its also the club b*tch, meaning I let almost every new shooter that comes to the club shoot it! Typically new shooters will shoot it pretty well.
