Hello all,

Although not an "antique guy" this piece spoke to me.....

The gun is in great shape, but some one has scavenged the sights from it & check out that rear dovetail 6.75"!!!

The gun is chambered is 577-450, has a 30" barrel with wide (1/2") matted rib, as well as a full bottom rib & cleaning rod (not original/appropriate).

Anyone know much about non-military Martini Henry's?

Thanks

Mark

The rear sight for that martini will be an express sight with a ladder and a lot of folding
leafs. It will be not easy to find one and it may be a bit pricy, you may have to buy a klunker sporter just to get the rear sight for it.

Thanks Barbarossa, I have located similar sights (photo attached) but they are apparently just under 4", leaving nearly 3 inches of dovetail.

Aren't these old project rifles fun?

Is that your rifle?

Thanks again

Mark
