Spot the XCR...

Not at all, might just bring a few problems as far as classification goes. And thats ther reason why wolverine won't sell any to use unless it is on a complete rifle. I'm sure too that might bring import permit issues once everybody know we can do it...

ah I see. So basically posession of a 12" barrel alone, and a non-restricted XCR would make me a criminal?
No, the barrel is just a part.

This question came up when the Recon (short) barrel for the M96 was released. The general idea was you have 30 days to report a change in class of a firearm. So people said if you went to the range, switched to short barrel, and then changed it back to long barrel before 30 days, you were fine.

It's a real grey area I would say.

Deckard strikes again.

whoa what is that?????

hmmm, but I'm kinda confused on the law... so cutting a semi-auto barrel under 18.6" makes it prohib (if it was over 18.6" to begin with), but installing a 12" barrel would allow me to reclassify it as a restricted?

That is about the size of it, iirc. I would imagine it has something to do with "sawed-off" barrels having criminal connotations.

well I called robarm before work today, and they said I would have to talk to wolverine supplies. maybe there's a hope I can get a barrel through them.
