He seemed to be a decent sized bruin from where I was standing (about 200 yards away) and was sitting on private land :(

Having dealt with that particular landowner, I can tell you now that unless you catch that bruin off Peter's land, there is no hope. The guy wont even let his son-in-law hunt on the land. Once, I have gained access to the top field (where the pictures are taken) to do some photography, and even that was supervised.

Gorgeous animal, though.

Have you made sure to intoduce yourself in the intro forum?

As for a quick intro, here's my best friend back from highschool and current hunting partner!

(also was my boss and one point and even slept with my girlfriend one night but lets not get into that....)

Dr.Ache

Good thing you didn't shoot that bear, he's not really a shooter unless you are looking for some meat. Look at the size of his ears in comparison to his head, the ears are large, so the bear is not...

Nice looking fur on him and he's got lots of fat for the winter, but he's a 5 ft bear, no more.

Nice color phase, and a decent, but not really big, bruin. Ears are too large and close for him to be a bruiser. I would take him. Make great sausage....yummy. Eagleye.
