Anyone know if their are any camera mounts that can mount a live feed camera to a spotting scope? Idea is you could have the image from your spotting scope fed live to a laptop/tablet. It would be useful for shooting with larger groups of people as everyone would be able to see live video of the target, and would be nice to have set up when shooting solo as you could just glance towards the screen instead of shifting position to check your target like you would on a standard spotting scope.

Would also allow you to take still images of your target at the touch of a button, and without going down range.

Anyone have any ideas?

I use Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85 with the camera adapter. I use Canon 7D and it has a mini-HDMI port which can be hooked up to a monitor that has a HDMI port. (any size monitor 19" to 50" with HDMI). Yes, you can use take pictures with it.

It is possible to use iPhone to send the wireless signal to iPad. (unsure about PC laptop). I haven't done this part.

Nikon Prostaff 5 with adapter for point and shoot/ SLR/ or 3rd party cell phone. Also lots of after market adapters will fit on most spotters however focus can be an issue. Generally have to go manual and be patient with it. :)

What would I be looking at for price?

One other issue is I want to use a laptop or a tablet and tether the camera to the device. Using a standard monitor wont work since I would be in the middle of a field or something without access to power.

Again all depends on the solution you choose, most current cameras/ phones have wifi output or a dongle option to send to a tablet/ laptop. Speaking for my company only we actually have an app called "Wireless Mobility Utility" (catchy I know) that does exactly this with our cameras that have wifi on them.
