Hey nutters! I'm looking for a high value spotting scope with a redicule for range estimating , I want to use it for target shooting so I can range and dope shots while shooting with friends and also to just use to check targets when set up on the bench I would be looking at 300$ range 100-700 yards

Good luck finding a $300 spotting scope that will allow you to see bullet holes at 400 yards, let alone 700 yards. And to ask for a range estimating reticle at the same time, is asking for something that will be far beyond your price range.

Leica LRF/CRF 1200 rangefinder is what you want for ranging. Using binoculars with 'rangefinding reticle'??? Do they even make those?

Seeing holes at 400 or 700 is not possible with a handheld setup. Tripod with good spottig scope is required. And you wont get a good one for $300.

In short, what you want for what you want to spend does not exist.

Sorry, but I don't think you would. Check out the Bushnell ARC range finding Binos at Optics Planet. These are probably the closest thing you're gonna get to what you want for under a grand. I don't own a pair of these yet, but the reviews on them seem good.

...

Yes, there are a few marine binocular models with range-finding reticles, but I don't think they are suitable for what he wants. And Steiner has a least one military model with a range finding reticle.

Lol ... Low cost w/ range redicule ,bushnell had a good option but it is not avalible anywhere ... Barska has one but it sucks a lot , high value is not nessesarly exspencive if you get a good product for low cost this is high value Ex a bushnell elite tactical scope is high value not high quality but high value

You could go with this. h ttp://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-hd-30x-wide-angle-eyepiece-with%20moa-ranging%20reticle $259 combined with a Vortex Razor HD 16-48x65 Spotting Scope for $1349 (cheapest Vortex spotter it will work on) It puts you way over budget and limits you to 30x magnification

Not sure how well 30x would work at spotting holes at 400+ yds

You could look into buying a scope that has mirror lenses Like a celestron C 90 mak. You can change the mag. by changing the eye piece with a max power of about 120x. But conditions would have to be perfect for long range viewing like ZERO mirage and a very stable tripod. FS

Vortex has a monocular with a ranging reticule for your budget, but it is only 10x so you aren't going to see bullet holes at 700 yards unless they were made by a howitzer!

Under $300 will get a decent spotting scope for .22 cal holes up to 250 m. I payed $265 for my redfield and it is good as far as 250 m, after that, you strain to see the shots.
