I use a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20x60-80mm. My usage is different than yours, but for competition I keep it at 20 power. When shooting at the range on paper I usually use the full 60x, 200m is easy, and 300 is good if there isn't a pile of mirage. The large objective lens is the key I think. At 20x I've used it to watch insects walking on 385m Turkey silhouettes. I've compared it side to side with a good Kowa scope for 40 cal holes at 300 yards on a day with significant mirage. The Kowa was perhaps just a tiny little bit clearer, but holes were tricky to verify with either scope.
I'm sure it would meet your needs.
Chris.
