Someone messaged me about an old Bushnell Spacemaster scope they had been using for decades and recommended it; theirs wasn't for sale. I located one in Victoria for sale, bought it, and had it mailed to me last week. It's over 40 years old, is 15-45x and came with a Slik pistol grip head (that alone is $130 new). I got the whole thing for $100. At full 45x it's awesome. Bought a neoprene tube sock for $18 to store it in and I am set.
In my opinion those old spacemaster scopes are the best value out there, if you can find one. Smaller, lighter package than the big mid-low end 70+mm scopes, and much better quality optics.
