Spotting scope Tripod Recommendations

The absolute best spotting scope stand is the Freeland scope stand. I found them listed at nonsponsor centerthegroup dot com which is a Canadian target shooting sport supporter.

"Best" is subjective. Best for what? Depends on what it's intended use is. May work on a square range beside you for target shooting but would be absolutely useless in the back country or in the field. OP did mention he may occasionally use it in the back country.

For prone/kneeling/bench, I'm kind of partial to the Freeland tripod
- I find them pretty much useless for standing, way to much flex in the pole!
