Spotting scope with mil dot reticle

Leupold Mark 4 Spotting Scope +2

great spotting scope would recommend it to anyone i regret selling it

If you are not on a budget I would go with a Zeiss 65 with their new Mil Dot Eyepiece . I had a Leupold 12-40X60 and the Zeiss is a noticable improvement . I have the Zeiss 85 but if I were to do it all again I would go with the smaller 65. The advantage with the Leupold is its more compact

The Zeiss is good but for the money I was better off with a Mark 4 and couldn't notice any difference. The Zeiss busted, go figure and tooks months to get back and cost $ to get fixed. The Leupold worked like a charm and if it needed repair, it would have cost only the shipping to Okotoks Alberta, lifetime warranty. I was also on a precision rifle crse a few years back where a guy had a high end Zeiss scope that broke on the first day and he had to use a loaner Leupold that didn't break. This is just my experience but would not spend the money on a Zeiss ever again.

I know I'm digging up an old thread here, but it's probably better than starting a new thread.

Has there been any new spotting scopes come on the market in the last 2 years that feature a mildot reticle other then the Zeis and Leupy? Both cost a considerable amount of money and is currently out of budget for a spotting scope.

Thanks,
D.

Another thread resurrection...

Any experiences with the Bushnell? Is there a Canadian source and if so what is the approximate cost?

US optics has a Mildot spotting scope

Does anyone know if these are still available in Canada?

Thanks in advance for any help guys/gals. If you saw what I'm using at the moment it would be worth some laughs:redface:, and it's almost about time to upgrade.

At the Alberta Long Range Challenge last weekend, there was a US Optics spotting scope used by one of the teams. The moa reticle was nice but the scope itself was no more than a rifle scope without turrets. The eye relief was very poor compared to the Leupold Mark 4 spotting scope. Overall I was not impressed but that is just my opinion.
