Both of mine are straight. The first was as much for field use as the range and is a compact model. I wouldn't change it. The second is bigger, an older one of good quality and it was on the EE for a good price so I picked it up more for the range. I don't regret it but if an angled scope of comparable value had been available it would have been better for that.
