I did a search and now have more ??. I just want to be able to see holes in the paper at 200ys. My last scope disappeared out of the truck. There are some that do not have the resolution I want. I want it under $400. Thanks all, AJ

In you spotter seach, it might be worthwhile calling Doug at Cameraland to see what he could do for you.
He's currently advertising some great prices on Minox spotters, which are very good value for the $ spent. If you can't find them on his site via CGN, go over to 24 hour campfire and look in the optics forum. By the time you add in the eyepiece, it looks like the best you could do would be about $450, but he always has lots of other options and he has a very good reputation for excellent deals, and honest, knowledgeable advise.

Vortex Nomad 20-60X60 angled scope, $390. Great scope for the money, I use one and I have had no problems seeing bullet holes out to 300 yards, and with the clarity at that distance, it should be good for much farther too.
Speaking of the Nomad, we have one set up in the store here.

Looking through the scope while also looking through the low quality glass in the door/window! For the money, the Nomad is HARD to beat, and it comes with a great warranty!!
Nikon also make some good scopes - used ones can be a good value as long as you are a "smart shopper" and check the new selling price first.
Most target shooters are better served with an angled scope as previously suggested .. try before you buy.
Personally I am not a fan of variable power spotters and think you can get a "better view/value" if you stick to fixed power eyepieces (if that is an option in the spotters you are looking at) -- although the real high end variable units (Swarovski, Leitz) are supposedly pretty good - but then their eye pieces alone cost more than the average quality spotting scope
