Can anybody recommend anyone or any dealer that can build a SPR mk12 mod0 clone for me? Or any dealers that I can purchase parts from and put together myself? I've contacted ATRS, they got back to me with a general reply but when I replied to them expressing more interest I did not get a reply. Maybe they are too busy. Please help. Thanks.

Rich at spartan(part of ATRS) is a really good start at what you are after. You'll need to figure out if you want "dear god that looks like a mk12", something that is close, but is a really good rifle, or something in between though.

Call them, if you are looking to spend that kind of cash for a built, spending $5 on a long distance phone call should be part of the plan.;)

I know, I should. I usually email inquiries first, then if things get really serious then I call to iron out all the details.

What is the make of the fore-end, rail, gas block, BUIS, and brake?
I actually used to have that rifle :) (PRS'd mine as well)
It was the only true sub-moa AR15 I've owned (I'm talking real groups, not internet groups) ;)
Foreend is made by PRI, rail is ARMS, gas block PRI, buis ARMS #40, brake by OPS Inc. My barrel was made by Compass Lake 1/7.78. You'll also want the PRI charging handle, helps a bit with your hand clearing the scope. Apparently it's also beefier to deal with increased rearward gar when shooting suppressed, but nothing we need to worry about.

I'm building a Mk12 Mod 0 clone as well. Talk to Wolverine Supplies, I sourced my kit through them. . Just waiting on my Swan sleeve now.

Please help out a guy that wants one REAL bad...Where did you get yours from?
I bought the upper complete off a guy on here, so I'm not going to be much help. I'm sure Wolverine could hook you up for most of the bits, just don't cheap out on the barrel (and matched bolt).

Which # sleeve is the right one? There's so many on the Wolverine ARMS price list.

From looking around it seems its the 38 GEN III PEQ-2 swan sleeve:

"A.R.M.S. #38 GEN III SPR PEQ-2"

I think Wolverine used to have it listen on their price list, but it isn't even listed on ARMS website anymore. There are a few companies that look like they still carry them though.

THose components on that SPR are way out dated - like 8 years out of date!

You will be much better served by a DD, Larue or KAC unit.

For sure, but the Mod 0 is still ###y as s**t.
.

I have a soft spot for the Mod 0 as well. I prefer to fondle the Mod0 when I am watching TV ( after my wife goes to bed of course ). I like it because its just different

I don't think the PRI with ARMS #38SP is a bad set up...just unecessarily heavy with the full length rail . Having said that the Mod 1 using the ARMS rings so close together ( because of the KAC FF barrel nut ...see pic below) is not optimal either...which is one advantage of full length ARMS#38

Quite frankly, even the Mod1 with the KAC FF is dated since the URX II would be a better choice

Mk12 Mod0

Vltor Mur Upper w/ JP carrier
Noveske SPR barrel w/ Intermediate gas system ( come in correct profile for the Mk12 Ops Inc collar
OPS Inc Mk12ModX brake and collar
PRI Rifle length FF
ARMS 38 SPR-PEQ-2 Sleeve
PRI Flip up front sight. Since barrel is Intermediate gas system the PRI is only being used as a sight. Gas block is a pinned Vltor under the FF
Lower Spikes Tactical
LPK Colt
Trigger Geissele Hi Speed w/ Match Springs
Leupold 3.5X10 M1 in Badger High Rings ( couldn’t bring myself to use the proper ARMS rings )

MK12Mod0-7.jpg

Mk12Mod1

This build got sideways when I realised it would be silly to have Mod0 and 1 in 5.56 so it ended up being a Grendel

Larue Upper w/ JP Carrier
Satern cut rifle in 6.5 Grendel
OPS Inc “brownells brake” custom made by OPS Inc. Couldn’t get a proper MK12ModX brake and collar for the goofy 5/8-24 threads of the Grendel Barrel
Badger Mk12 Gas block
KAC rifle length FF
KAC Micro Rear
No front yet !
Lower Spikes Tactical
LPK Colt
Trigger Geissele Hi Speed w/ Match Springs
S&B PMII 3-12

Actually it is me you are gonna end up talking to cause Rich is likely to be balls deep in a CNC machine most days. A phone call is always better than an email.

We can do nearly anything AR. The biggest issues for us with this particular build are going to be the PRI forend and ARMS top rail. Not everything is easy or even possible to source and export from the US.

Not saying we can't get those parts only that we have never tried to before so I am not sure if we will be able to. I did put several PRI forends on our next US order so we shall see.

We won't be able to get that brake. We could make one but it will be EXPENSIVE to one-off custom make such a thing. Just depends on how badly you want it.
