Spray epoxy release agent for Marine-Tex

I have always used Agra glass however it has been difficult to locate so I was going to try Marine-Tex. Para Film 4 spray release was recommended but I can’t locate it in Canada. Can you recommend a good spray release agent available in Canada.

With Agra glass I have used polish and even cooking spray with no issues and good results however Marine-Tex is new to me and I want to be cautious and also get that lovely smooth mold Marine-Tex provides.

With two pieces of wood do a test using paste wax as a release agent. Light coat let it dry, another light coat and lightly polish.
Paste wax was as good or better as any release I ever used.

Where exactly does one pick up paste wax these days? I've looked around and had no luck.

or you can use a small can of neutral shoe polish

That paste is also good for any wood stocks. I've used it on both CZs and a Marlin and Rem-722. I put several coats on the stocks, with a day or two between coats. Pretty durable since it's for floors.

Just a light buff with a soft cloth will do, it works great as a release agent.

Also nice on wood stocks, I use it on matte blued guns like a 870 express.

The best I have used was Renaissance wax. I found it better than standard paste waxs.

I have been using the neutral kiwi shoe polish as a release agent for both marine tex and acraglas with good results for years.

Where are you guys finding Marine tex in canada?

last I bought from was from refrew marine in calgary. few years ago now.

I thin by pouring a little mineral spirits on the paste wax in the can. Mix it around with a small paint brush and then apply. Let it dry and go at it. Have done hundreds of bedding jobs this way. Easy and works great.
