I've been partial to Rhodesian bush war painted FN FALs. Brown, yellow and green. The originals were brush painted with vehicle paint and not expected to last the duration, only next week's Fire Force insertions.

Pinterest and any other photohosting sites will give you more than enough inspiration.

lerch641; did you do that holster yourself?

Yup. A friend has a little vinyl arts gig and she dissected a Rhodesian brushstroke swatch to get me some stencils. I eyeball matched some Tamiya aerosol cans against my hoodie and did it up.

I'll be asking her soon to enlarge the pattern and do up some more sheets for a rifle.

That is really well done, professional grade.

I had an XCR years ago painted EXACTLY the same way as the top rifle.... I may have bought it from you. That paint job blended in with just about anything. How did you do it? I wouldn't mind repainting a couple of rifles with that pattern.

You do a base layer in whatever colour you want and then use a ripped up sponge or a ripped up steel pot scrubber. Dip or spray with paint then dab it on the rifle wherever you want. I usually use about 3 colours plus the base layer.

Some nice camo! My son when he was about 8 years old did some awesome camo paint jobs on his nerf guns. Would go to the dollar store and buy different plastic greenery and spray different colors of paint after spraying down a solid base colour.

Fantastic job for anyone let alone an 8 year old.
