Spray painted rifles

BTW, which product do you recommend for the clear coat?

If you use rusto paint use rusto clear, in the past I’ve had paint wrinkle or crackle when using different brands of paint and clear. How heavy you apply the first couple layers is important, light mist the first two and you can go heavy on the rest without risk of paint wrinkling or crackling.

Painted this houge stock 3-4 years back, has held up well in the bush as a hunting rifle for spray paint and clear. I used fishnet stockings instead of laundry bag, easy to slide the stock in and tie the open end off and paint the whole thing while hanging.

Tactical Baikal haha... my camp gun from my paycheck to paycheck days.
Only gun I've had for over a decade since no one would likely buy it!
Paint job by Krylon if I remember correctly.

I know this is not a rifle, but I did a similar paint on my hunting rig.
Basically you do a base coat mixing and matching camo colors, then using leaves, grass, twigs, etc. you lay them across the paint and spray over them.
It turns out really nice, and if you mess up you just add another layer over top of that.

I used this for the matt clear coat.

It's holding up pretty well, considering I drive through some pretty rough trails, branches, mud, etc.

This one must be prohib. Its one of those military style assault quads.

Two old ARs from way back in the before times. I did the NEA/Norc hybrid, and a previous owner did a great job on the quad rail unit.

They were both very fun guns to shoot. Some days I wonder where they are now . . .

Aervoe camo paint has been discontinued, so buy what you find if you like it. Krylon might be killing off those colours too.

I used to be a purist, and gasp in outrage when I saw a beautiful firearm 'Pimped out'. Now, I'm more like; "It's a tool. YOUR tool. Bedazzle that b!tch, brother!"

BTW, there are some really awesome looking guns in these posts!
