As to the recent efficiency threads, I started a spreadsheet for some efficiencies.
Ill pass it around if anyone wants to expand or add things, what was easiest was to just populate from relevant ammo off of Hornady's website, uploaded a picture below but... The purpose is to compare specifically:
Energy vs. powder at muzzle
Energy at muzzle vs. energy at 500 yards (% retained)
Taylor KO factor at 100 and 500 yards
This info and calibers involved are to reflect mid/long range hunting efficiency in contrast from lighter modern calibers to heavier hitters to get a sense of what might be too little.
The file is young (small and limited), and will be expanded slowly. Feel free to PM if you want the file, or to post your own data.
