Sprinfield XD

Is the 100 dollar step up to the Glock worth it? Sorry to get OT but the XD is often compared to the Glock and I think is trying to eat away some Glock demographics.

If the Glock fits better for you then it is worth the extra $100, if not then it isn't :)

I shoot a Glock 22 and I just bought my wife an XD40. The XD definitely has a nicer trigger but I still like my Glock 22 more. My wife on the other hand likes the XD40 more. Whatever suits your fancy.

Can't let this one slip by unchallenged...:p
"Flimsy" certainly doesn't come to mind when I look at my XD...what part of the gun do you consider to be flimsy? As a point of interest, my (long gone) CZ75 was the ONLY pistol that I ever owned that failed completely when the large-headed screw that secures the trigger spring came loose while I was shooting, which completely locked up the gun's slide just short of going into battery with a live round. Not a good thing. ;)

Not a particular part of the gun the feels flimsy, just the overall feel of it.
Any gun can have problems. I know which screw you're talking about and read something similar on their forum. It's very rare though.
As far as my 75 goes, I'm now around 10000 rounds with no issues whatsoever (Some of these rounds were VERY VERY hot loads). I may install a new spring soon, but it is normal with that much use.
I love that CZ, and would take it over the xd anyday. The only handgun I like better is a Kimber, but that's a whole different ballpark.
