Last year i went to timmins to bear hunt but i dont have as much time this year and was looking to try it in north bay instead as it is a closer drive. I have been looking at topo maps and the crown land maps online i was hoping anyone that knows the area better could point me in the right direction. I know nobody will give up their sweet spots but just a general area would be great i dont mind driving around to scout. Thanks

There is tons of crown land available to hunt up the North hwy, as well as hwy 63 once you get out past Redbridge. Hard to pinpoint an exact spot cause there are so many places to begin. I'm not a bear hunter so I can't offer you any real good advice on spots for that specifically but those are good places for access.

I am actually looking for accommodations around the Sturgeon Falls area for the spring hunt, would like to be a part of it this spring.
Turbo250 I wouldn't worry about finding a hot spot for bears, all that area is rich in the furry beasts. Bring a honey burn and malaises and they will be their within 48hrs. I noticed where I have my cottage way way up in 21B when we bait in the spring time(to get then ready for the fall), the bears are at the sights within 24hrs.
The seem to be very active in the spring.
Any leads on some cottages, cabins or accommodations in WMU 39,41, 42 would be appreciated
thanks
