I really wanted an 1887. Stupid vacation.I placed an order the same day, still waiting for a shipping notice.

Placed my order on Sunday, it shipped friday afternoon. (For the Norinco 1911 and ammo)
A small company in North Vancouver being delayed filling orders after a massive sale... Oh, the humanity!

Ya, come one now. I think that some people are getting really disappointed by the posts. Some are saying they ordered Saturday and haven't been shipped, other folks ordered Sunday and have gotten it shipped out. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. Very frustrating for myself as I had a host of problems with the site and STILL waiting for a shipping notice.
They had a massive sale, with amazing prices, and even stated "be patient, we received a ton of orders, our typical 3-5 day turn around for shipping will not be realistic for these orders".
Not sure how much more clear they can be....people will get their ####, pissing and moaning that you didn't get it "first" sounds like crap you hear on the kindergarten playground.

Well how long should it take to pick a order, box it and then ship? Lol. It's seems that after the fact they asked for patience and some folks like accountability and a promise kept that was on the website. Not a post on a forum that says that we are going to be excessive in the shipping process. It's not kindergarten crap Skipper, it's called live up to the words that you have posted on the website and honour your commitment. Plan and simple. Don't leave that statement on the site and quit sending it to people when an order is placed and things will be fine.

I could have got the same thing somewhere else, for about twice the price, and had it already.....but you know the money that I saved kinda makes the wait OK don't you think?

Wow. Very good. That wasn't the case I was telling you the facts and you chose to be completely childish. Glad we can have grown up conversations and not resort to crap like this.
I completely understand why some of these guys are impatient. I've had my RPAL/PAL for just about a year now and have bought 2 guns (both from CanAm) and I can remember being very disappointed with the wait my first time, and somewhat lesser my 2nd time. I think if you asked a lot of the disappointed people would tell you it might be one of their first gun purchases. I shopped online a ton before being a firearms owner, all from businesses with next day delivery (like amazon) or 1-3 business day delivery (best buy,apple etc.). That was the standard for me, and was my expectation for all online shopping. It seems to me the firearms retailers I've come across or dealt with don't have it down to such a science. Which is not a problem, these aren't companies the size of amazon/apple etc. so I don't expect that anymore, but when thats what your online experience has been, it does take some adjustment.
just my 2 cents. Im fine with the wait, I ordered saturday morning and have not received a shipping notification. Yes I am disappointed, but I'm not surprised, so i'll wait and be patient and be happy when my purchase gets here.

You have to think for a second, most of what we order, has either ammo or firearms included, either of which requires checking documentation which takes more time than ordering a book from Amazon! Then there is the fact that ammo is shipped by ground, which could take a lot longer, or calling the Feds to transfer your handgun, could take days/ maybe a week, then there is the FREE shipping so, free usually means, not the fastest mode of transportation! Canam puts on sales 3-4 times a year and they are doozies, we all look forward to them, therefore, the shipping department goes from normal shipping to at least 10 times the volume for about 2 weeks, then back to normal, you cannot staff for that so it is what it is! Next sale, you will know and either still buy or walk by!
