Last week (Victoria day) I went out in the evening with a trusted friend and ended up with this dark brown Coyote, easy and fast kill.
I set the FoxPro caller on a fencepost 100 yards from thick bush and waited 20 minutes in a treeline for everything to settle down.. I started out with a Coyote locating sequence a long delay and then into dying rabbit for five minutes- all of a sudden three dogs came running out towards the caller and I knew it would be a great evening. One was almost black, one grey/silver and then the one you see pictured below.
This one presented itself broadside on to me at 119 paces in open field, I had to go on one knee to clear camouflage- the crosshairs locked behind the shoulder and I fired, hearing a clear audible hit!
He went over right away and kicked the death dance for about five seconds, game over.
