Well I finally installed one of these in my SKS. The stock pin had a chip out of the end causing the gun to go click and not bang. I thought it was the ammo, until I picked up my SKS-D and found it to blast everything I ran through it. I never experienced slamfires as I disassemble and clean the bolts after every shoot with Czech corrosive, so not worried about it. Just something new to try. If it works out on my standard SKS, I might even install one in my D.

Pre-'51 Russian model SKS's have the shallower firing pin hole, this firing pin will work on all 1950 and later Russian models and clones. My D-model is an 80's Norinco rebuild for the commercial market and it rocks!

I ordered my firing pin from Brownell's, I highly reccomend them to anyone for their customer service...$39.95 per each and they come with two Wolff springs, plus a couple bucks for shipping, get them while you can!

If you do order from Brownell's, make sure you request their catalogue, free with your order, it is jam-packed with the good stuff!;)

i've been using this firing pin for a while works great, but beware if you shoot non-military ammo with soft primers, some sks have firing pin holes a bit too small and even with the spring the firing pin dont automaticly return to its standard possition, it hapenned with mu chiness sks

You can also but them from the Manufacturer at Murray's Guns.
I have them in two of My SKS's and think it was Money well spent.
