Spring Thaw & Migration, Finally

Had about 1" of snow up til Sunday, had to go out thru the hunting area on Sunday evening, roas were sloppy, few drift areas around. Saw lots of honkers around, saw a few swans flying too, plenty of ducks, and finally even a mixed speck/snow flock, likely 5k plus of them on the one field. I'd seen snows at altitude 2-3 wks ago, first identifiable specks I've seen though. May have missed some in previous outings, wasn't glassing the dark birds , and most were at distance.
Today, sat out on the porch in a T-shirt, ants & beetles are out again, black/orange moth is back. Contemplating doing some nasty stuff to crows.

Wow, great pics!
I just took possession of our new home in the Tofield area and the amount of birds out here is truly incredible!
I haven’t hunted waterfowl in a lot of years but is the itch ever strong since May 1st lol.
I may just follow your lead and shoot them with a camera instead šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘
Keep posting these fantastic pics
