Spring Wild Turkey

Booked the morning off of work Monday. Rain or shine I'm sitting in the woods with my back against a tree. Nothing like hearing the gobbles at daybreak.

Yep! Can't wait! I've got a new blind like Shonkey but for opening day, I'm sitting on the ground regardless of what the weather brings!

im going out for my first time this year, I'm trying to buy my tag online and its not coming up as an option. I have a brand new issued Outdoors card as well as a small game license. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good hunting and stay safe out there!

to late to buy the tag online ,thy could never get it shipped out in time for the season start after a certain date thy stop selling them on line ,you have to go to the store and buy a tag..should not have left it to the very last minute ,you may be able to get one at a Canadian tire if thy are open late in your area ,,Dutch

I understand but everywhere is closed now. Will they still issue me a tag even tho the season started?

Go to a ServiceOntario location that provides "fish and wildlife" services.

I went by the crappy tire by my house and the guy said they don't issue licenses. I won't be able to make the service Ontario location cause I work exactly the same hours they're open. Can my wife buy me the tag? If not I guess I'm SOL.

Turkey opened this past Friday (25th) in Quebec. We got cold, wind and about 4 inches of snow all weekend thought we'd never see anything. Our group of 4 hunters shot 4 real nice Toms and a Jake on opening weekend. Don't know how to post pictures... sorry

Hi there
I've got a question in regards to wild turkey spring season,
Little confusion with the start date.
My Ihunter app for my IPhone is showing start date as 25 of April, in the same time on the website we got another date such April 27 !!!
Can anyone enlighten me?

Yup. Opens every year on the 25th. UNLESS the 25th is on a Saturday, then it changes to the Monday.

Another prime example of how the government wants you to pay for licenses and never hunt.

Nice job boys!!! Congrats.

I had a big gobbler come in this morning but he was with a few hens that he wouldn't leave and didn't come closer than 70 yards. Had a jake come in to five yards but he will live to see another season. Man I love turkey hunting.

Thanks! I had a jake come in behind me to about 10 yards. It took almost three and a half hours later before the Boss Tom emerged. Longest wait of my life, thats for sure!
