Springer rated scope not made in China?

Will the Bushnell withstand the recoil of a spinger rifle? From what I have found on the net they may or may not. Do you have first hand experience?
There are plenty of scopes made outside China that would be suitable but for the one small detail that the double recoil of a springer rifle will eventually damage them.
I am not really interested in having to use the warranty to fix one.

I don't have any Elite's on a springer right now, I do have a cheaper Bushnell on a PAL rated springer that so far has held up, I can't remember the model but when I bought it 15 years ago it was recommended by the air rifle crowd and was sold as "springer rated".

The Elite's are at the top of the spectrum from Bushnell and to my eyes are nice scopes, the warranty is lifetime fully transferable but I can't guarantee you that you will never need to use it, only that the option is there if needed.

I would not be surprised if Bushnell could tell you directly if their premium scopes are suited for magnum springers, I am willing to go out on a limb and bet that they are..... :)

What kind of shooting were you planning on doing with your springer?

While I've never tried one on a springer, I have read that these are airgun-rated (made in the Philippines?). I just picked-up a PAL-rated, nitro-piston rifle for the same pesting purposes, and actually think this might be too nice a scope for it, I like them that much. I own 2 of them, one mounted...and one that probably will wait for the 22WMR I'm looking for. I will probably pick a HAWKE myself, but care taken choosing the reticle. The only one I've ever used was very busy-looking, almost distracting. I know they're well-loved among the air-gunners.

Worth noting, Nikon is out of the rifle scope business so you're probably on your own if something goes wrong. Still, mostly affordable when you find them. I'm always looking.

Good luck!

I remember reading somewhere on Leupold's website that their scopes are springer rated. I believe the Bushnell 4200 were as well...The Leupold 3-9x EFR is an awesome option and have one on a springer without issue.

This thread may be getting a little old but I just looked up on Leupold's website. They advertise the VX-Freedom for air rifles.

Also on a side note I purchased a Sports Match Mount for my HW95 which by the way is made in Great Britain. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the Leupold as I have an older Hawke SF 12x on my rifle but the mount is great.

I am looking at buying a good quality springer air rifle and will need a scope.

Does anyone know of any springer rated riflescopes that are not made in China?

Having the scope being made literally anywhere other than China is more important to me than the cost.

Ideally I want to find a scope with these options: variable power such as 3-15 or 4-16; second focal plane; 30 or 34 mm main tube; externally adjustable turrets and of course ale to withstand the recoil of a springer air rifle.

Any and all suggestions welcome.
Look in the EE. I found a Bushnell Legend or something like that that's made in Philippines. The Chinese can make great products it they want to cater to the premium market. The reason I don't like buying Chinese is I don't like their ideology. Why should I support a country who doesn't respect other countries, or their own people's rights, for that matter.

BTW, unless you go for the $2K plus scopes from Germany, any scope you buy will likely have Chinese sourced parts. Globalism practically guarantees everything you buy will have one or more Chinese sourced parts.
