I have 87m in at least 90% condition .
It's been D&T'd at one point in time , notsure if its factory or not.
All else is original . Nice walnut stocks.
What would be a reasonable value to such a rifle ?

I own one as well. The D&T is factory if it's on the side of the receiver, it was made to fit a Weaver T1 mount with a Weaver 330 scope.

There were three variations, two came with the scope and the other just wore a Reising M50 rear sight.

I have both the rear sight and the mount on mine, currently using the scope on it. At first I was having feeding issues but since I started using CCI standard rounds in it it hasn't missed a beat.

Saw one on the EE here posted at $1500 a few months ago and it sold in around three days. I guess only having three hundred of these ever made brought a premium.

Thx MadDog !
Holy...$$!
The history on the Springfield 87M , I found is interesting.
Mine is stamped # 5 under the butt plate.
A bit of research on the T1 mount showed that it's the one.
I've been hoping to find a mount with 7/8" rings .

My dad's model 85? was the first rifle I ever fired, liked them ever since. When I found out there was an 87m, that was the one for me. Still haven't gotten one though, still looking.
