Springfield 87M

I was fortunate to pick this rifle at the Auction in Edmonton Yesterday ,
it was a bit dry and stiff, now I stripped and oiled it she nice and free .
a nice companion to my other military trainers .

I like the gill/clackety-clack rifles. N'er had my hands on a military one though. Very nifty score...it should fit into your drool-worthy collection of trainers quite nicely.

I've had an 87M for awhile now.
Nice . interesting rifle with the Stevens 87A receiver/barrel and a cool military look
But..The 87M was not or intended to be a trainer
Made during wartime years but non the less , a rich boys toy
Still quite collectable and you found a really nice rifle which we don't hear about often.
