Springfield arms rifles

Tuned m305 is the most economical

I have owned one for years, it has lots of Mods, cost a small fortune. I could have bought an SA but would have had to spend $$ on it anyway. SA quality is not always a given. In the end, my Norcinstine M14 works flawlessly, tight groups always. So in my oppinion the old adage still holds no matter what you buy..."you get what you pay for."

How do you mean? My take is that they're less 'pro-Norinco' than they used to be- is that it?

That's correct. There are good deal more pro SA posters and some who have moved (graduated?) to them from Norinco rifles.

I actually directed a buddy who didn't want to spend too much to a Norinco recently. Gave it the once over and it looked good enough. Functions fine. Sold him a Big Red GI Walnut stock. He's happy. Once he's hooked who knows he may step up or stay where he's at. one things for sure, the more semi auto M14 patern rifle owners there are the better our odds of keeping them non restricted/prohibited.

These threads sure have changed in tone over the last few years.

I think you probably capture it when you say people have 'graduated'.

Bravo to those who have the time to tinker....

But I notice as years pass I have less and less free time, and more of a willingness to spend money to at least preserve such time as I have.

That, and as I get older, my desire for self-preservation also increases!

I'm really not sure whether more or fewer M14 platform rifles help the cause.... I would have said that a lower profile keeps owners off the radar, at least I would have until the SwissArms/Cz debacle. Now, I'm really just not sure.

Cheers.
