Springfield garand ####

Just finished 44 SA almost all correct.

Aesthetically this is a fantastic looking rifle, but what exactly is remotely close to being "correct" on it? From a collecting standpoint, it appears to be a very nicely rebuilt shooter... but that's about it. The entire rifle has been reparkerized, the wood has clearly been replaced, it's sporting post war sights while the barrel markings also appear to be post war (or commercial) so I'm having a hard time understanding that claim?

I'm not trying to belittle you or your rifle, it's just that a distinction needs to be made between "correct" collector grade examples and rifles that have been carefully rebuilt to serve as accurate shooters. Both variants are neat in their own right, but they serve very different purposes so it's important not to confuse the two.
