I am thinking of buying SOCOM II with extended cluster rail.

Has anyone tried it? Can you give me some feedback on this rifle?

Someone told me that 16" barrel on SOCOM rifles will exhibit a "bigger bang" AND reduced accuracy.
When .308 is shot from shorter barrel, does it really lose that much of velocity??

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

We'll it's RESTRICTED, so no outdoor fun on crown/private land, only approved ranges with valid ATT. Have you thought about getting a full-size M1A? You can still get a full-size with synthetic stock and custimize it yourself.
