Hey all. I have my grandfather's old rifle sitting in the closet gathering dust. As stated it's a Springfield Model 1898 30/40 Kraag. Now it's not nostalgic for me as he and I never got along, but I'm wondering if There's any value to the old girl? Like is it worth restoring fo sell it, or is it going to be a few hundred dollar paperweight? My photobucket won't let me post pics anymore otherwise I'd post a pic or two. Any insight on these rifles and their collectability would be appreciated.
 
If it's in un-altered condition it could be an $800 rifle, at least here in the states any way. Too bad photophucket is holding everyone's pics hostage. They're holding mine so I feel you pain.
