Springfield XD40 Tactical...want more info...

So I have decided to upgrade from a Nork to the Springfield...I have googled the XD40 Tactical and lots police (USA police) praise this gun and some say its better than a glock...???...So what's your thoughts about it people? Where can I get upgrades for it in Canada...I got one with a tan lower if this makes a difference? Your thoughts people...

I enjoy mine. Upgrades are tough to find when compared to a Block but they are build to the same high standards that any $800 - $1200 pistol is. If it fits you well, you'll love it. I ordered mags from Frontier and holsters online from the US. Also picked up a laser at cabela's. Copsplus.com has some nice things too.

xdm - match grade barrel, adjustable back straps are the 2 biggest differences, and you don't have to depress the trigger to field strip the firearm

grab one of these - Don's XD(M) 40S&W Guide Rod it will add a bit of weight to the front, keeping the muzzle jump down

Hello, I have an xd 40 tac. Its a great pistol. I find that grip for this pistol has to be well supported. if you have a sissy grip you can choke, flinch, and find recoil a bit ruff. I'm using amdcharlton 2" belt, blackhawk serpa holster, and mag holders.
shooting from a rest: my xd shoots nice small groups at 20 yards..

I'm still learning so this is coming from someone who is new to pistol shooting.

I am trying to decide between a G22 and an XD40 for my next .40s&w. A guy at a local range let me get a hold of and pull the trigger on his XD and i did have to agree that the grip angle is nice on it. I just wish there were Glock grip reduction/customization services in Canada.

We were going to do the same thing, but we figured it was cheaper to just order them

material, time, shop costs, just didn't feel like doing it......lol

xd 40 was my first pistol and i love it. never had any trouble with it, reloads or otherwise. nice and easy to disassemble and clean. I would definitely recommend it

Take a look online at Springer Precision they are all things XDm. I really like mine they are incredibly good guns. If i knew how to add pics on here I would, can someone explain how to me?
