Springfield XD45 Compact in Canada

I like it! Makes for a possible CCW (US) pistol. It's light with an abbreviated frame would conceal very nicely!!

OK, Here's what I'm thinking now..... Order the compact 5" and also order a 4" slide out of the US. Then just get the bbl cut down. I dunno if that'll work or not but it's an idea. I still haven't gotten around to calling Springrield yet Damn Eastern Time!

This must be new cuz I ordered a slide for my buddy from Numrich a year or so ago. Well, order it or get a dealer to bring it in. Either way, get a 4" slide.

I stand corrected. Everything I have heard about SA is that they will not sell parts for the XD. Glad to hear that this is not always the case.

I hate the look of the 5" XD. That is the only reason I bought my Glock instead. If you manage to get a 4" model up here, let us know. I would be very interested.

Is it a true compact with a short 106mm barrel?

From what I heard from Wolverine is that they have no plans to get the compact in and the only ones available are better called an XD45 Long Slide Compact as they are just a compact with the 5" slides.

You would think this would be a "no brainer" for Springfield to make available a 105.5mm XD45 Compact.

But maybe I'm smoking something...

5in Compact? WTH? that just sounds goofy. Kinda like fat free bacon...

btw 5in barrel may not even fit the 4in slide, I asked one on the US shooters who owns a full size and compact M&P to see it the 4.25in barrel would work in the compact model, he told be it didn't work...(or maybe it was a little tight and he didn't want to brake the gun )
