Anyone here use an XD9 "Tactical" (the 5 incher) for production?

How are you finding the trigger quality?

Also I read that there might be some issue with using this gun in prod, as the barrel is 5.01" and the limit is 5 inches.

Is this the case in Canada also?

;) Production "Division", not class... Class is "Grand Master", "Master", A, B, C, D

the 9mm XD is just fine for Production, if you like it. Very long trigger reset, though...

It was an issue with IPSC, not Canada. Hence part of the reason it was in, then out, then back in.

The actual barrel length is a subject of much discussion. Springfield says it's over 5 - for some marketing reason, and if you measure it - it's actually a little under. I'd say the XD is pretty safe now. ;)

Lots of threads on the HS2000 on the Aussie forum. HS2000 = XD.

The first link is a good review with photos and a video.

We've had a bunch of shooters move from Glocks to the HS2000, usually the tactical model. I prefer the sights and the grip on the XD, I prefer the trigger on the Glock.

On the barrel length, with the action closed and a vernier inserted through the muzzle, it works out around 4.99 inchs.

I agree with FV, the chances of IPSC doing the hokey pokey again on the XD are minimal.
