I own a xdm 4.5 9mm and brother owns the m&p 9mm.
Both guns need a descent amount of break in period.. Or at least some time to figure out the sights.
I found the trigger on the xdm quite nice, though it seemed like it was easier to jerk because its so wide
Across. The gun feels great in my hands though. Very easy to control the muzzle(not as easy as a
M9 or shadow but still good) so I thought it was easy to sight your shots right after the other.
The m&p has a wierd trigger at first glance, but it feels more crisp. Like I can control it better and not anticipate
The shot too early, if you know what I mean. The grips are quite fat I felt and too smooth. Not a bad thing,
But I felt myself repositioning my hands after a few shots... Felt like my grip changed. The gun shoots very well though
And I have no complaints... Other than the spring and guide look super ####ing cheap...
I shot my brothers gun and it was cool, but never considered getting the gun until I saw the core series... From
An aesthetic point I wanted the gun. When my brother saw my gun and shot it... He wanted one and asked
To trade. Take that as you will, but both guns are good. The grips on the xdm are more solid though, and
I feel that's really important with a polymer since it becomes easier to control your muzzle and line your sights after
Recoil.
