Springs removal question

This is a Savage 24 action. How do you remove and reinstall those springs? there is a lot of tension on this and I'm scare that if I just punch out the pin everything is gonna fly away. Do I have to buy/make a special tool?

With the hammer at full #### I drill a 1/16" hole through the cup and guide rod about 1/8" from the end of the cup (where the guide rod enters). I then put a piece of wire or a nail through the hole and then pull the trgger. You can then remove the rod and spring as a unit. When you re-install the spring you put the unit back in place and then #### the hammer.

Brilliant! Il try that. 1/16" drill bit, I must set the maximum speed on my press drill I guest and use a lot of oil. Thanks
