Tonight I was just running rounds off the press and suddenly "SNAP"
the bolt that holds the shell plate snapped and the shellplate with 4 cases are stuck at the top in the dies.....
What should I do now?
How can I get them off?

I would phone Dillon. They should be able to tell you over the phone what to do. Plus they are going to have to fix your machine under the lifetime warranty.
 
and last night I asked you how it was running, I hope I did not Jinx you.

Dillion will mail you a new bolt, so give them a call.

If you are still having issues getting the stud out I can slide you an EZ-out kit to remove the broken stud.

Can you get wrenchs on the dies and just start unscrewing them? If you have extra lock nuts, screw them on the threads, and tighten 2 together, then use a wrench to take the dies out of the head! The shell plate will hold the cases, and it should pop out. The only real problematic one should be the re-sizer die! Just a thought.

Try harder, I've been in the same situation a couple of months ago, ended up using 2 - 18 inch prybars, finally broke it free.
Found a piece of an old jacketed bullet that had jammed all up inside the casing.

As for the broken bolt I used my little Mastercraft electric pencil grinder and cut a slot on the top of the broken bolt then used a slotted screwdriver and basically unscrewed it.
 
I'd try removing the dies, powder measure and head from the top and then tapping down into the offending cases. Mind you I don't thin I'd try tapping on top of any case or round that has a live primer in it.

You might also try tapping some wedges in between the shell plate and the upper frame. You could even use wooden wedges since it won't harm the metal.

Once you're done, Dillon will see you right. I've had my SDB completely replaced (the mounting frame metal actually failed) and I was the second owner of the unit.

manage to get the broken stud out, also the tool head, but the case with shellplate is still stuck... i put a punch in the case that is stuck in the resizing die and whack it with a hammer but it still does not move at all.... what else can I try??

i dun think my freezer can fit the press.... the square deal resizer die is a drop in into the frame, which is not part of the tool head....

may be i will try using the compressed air can and spray into the brass..... those air are pretty cold...
 
I had a stuck case in a rifle die and tried everything including freezing the thing. I would try to explore ways of prying out the cases anyway you can, including drilling them out. You likely are going to destroy the dies in the process. Once you get them out I would send all the pieces back to Dillon. My bet is they will replace all that is damaged.

I can't tell from your photos but is there a gap between the top of the shell plate and the bottom of the sizing die? Could you get a hacksaw blade in there to cut the bottom of the case away from the part stuck in the die. At least that way you could get the die up out of the top of the press and the shell plate away from the head. You could probably salvage the shell plate but you will want to get a new sizing die from Dillon anyway.

I like your idea of using compressed gas to chill the casing. Better still might be a bit of dry ice dropped in from the top.
 
if there is enough room get 2 or more pieces of treaded rod (ready rod ) with two nuts each,screwing both nuts on completely slide between your top plate & shell holder, back the nuts off the rods evenly ,it should give you alot of force.you might have to go pretty small if theres little room.
 
I'd try removing any powder in the cases at 2 and 3, filling the cases full of WD or 3in1, squirting penetrating oil around the dies, and go to bed. In a day or so put brass rods (as large as will fit) in the cases at 1 and 3, lay a piece of flat metal (ie a Wunderbar) across the brass rods, and whack the bejeesuz out of it. Wear gloves, long sleeves, and safety glasses/goggles.
