Thought I’d post some picks of the semi finished a project. Sorry bout the crappy cam.
First time recambering, turned out awesome about 2 tenths of a thou. run out.
I did have a few hiccups. I drilled and turned some material out of what was left of the old chamber, to get it running true. I must have went a little too deep with the boring because there was a thou. or so that didn’t want to clean up about ½ way down the chamber. Had to shorten and start over.
It has been a fun learning project. I’m going to try to rechamber a 243 1/8 BN takoff to 6BR next, no room for error on a regular barrel. Of corse my quckchage tooling I just purchased arrived just after I finished the barrel.
Remington 700 SA, was a 22-250
1-14 barrel McLennan rechambered to 6mmBR from 6PPC.
I am planning on a different stock eventually I just opened this one up in the mill.
Hope to do some testing soon. Off to get some 65 vmax.
I can’t wait to burn some powder.
Stephen
