I have a Squires Bingham Model 16 (with sentimental value) that I am cleaning up. I have disassembled it, stripped the metals and sanded the stock to be repainted. (See picture below)

I would like to keep it like it was originally in all black but I am not sure what to paint it with. So I am looking for advice on what paint to use for the stock and what paint for the metal parts which seem to be some type of aluminum.

I have another stock (soon to be sanded) where the bottom of the butt cracked and broke off, it appears that someone tried to poorly repair it. I was thinking about chopping the butt off and attempting to configure it with a buffer tube and adjustable buttstock. (See picture below)

Has anyone ever seen or heard of someone connecting a buffer tube to a wooden stock or do you know of something I can mount to the stock that a buffer tube would screw into? If so please point me in the right direction.

I am also looking for a few parts for this rifle, let me know if you have any of the following:

1) Flash Hider
2) Screws for all components (mine are very abused)
3) Bolt Operating Handle (Cocking Handle)

If you have other parts, let me know what you have as I may start a parts kit for it.
