Hi everyone. I bought a Squires Bingham model 20 .22LR a couple of years ago. The rifle worked excellent but now it keeps missing on the trigger. Out of 10 pulls the gun fires 6 times. If anyone can help me with an answer to the problem and how I can fix it, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Brodie

Squires Bingham semi autos, like most rimfires work great until they get dirty from powder residue and other foreign material. Start with a good cleaning. Aerosol Brake Cleaner is my method. If problem still exists ..you say "missing on trigger" if you mean the action isn't cocking thus no hammer fall when trigger is squeezed then I would suspect the action isn't cycling far enough to #### the action but it may be just enough to eject the spent casing. Have you changed ammunition? Lower power Long Rifle shells may not have enough pressure to cycle the action properly. But my first instinct is your rifle is just a little dirty inside.

If thats the semi auto model ,they have a weak firing pin spring. Go on line ,get takedown instructions take spring and give it a good stretch. Worked on a friends, dont know how long it will last though before it recompresses.
