Squirrel hunting in Quebec petition / Chasse à l'écureuil au Québec

I'm not sure if it's the right sub to write this but there's currently a petition on the Quebec Assnat site to legalise squirrels hunting in the province.

I think it would be fun for us to have another small game to hunt. So if you're a hunter from Quebec i'd encourage you to go and sign it.

Il y a présentement une pétition sur le site de l'assemblé National pour légaliser la chasse à l'écureuil au Québec. Je crois qu'il serait intéressant pour les chasseur Québecois de pouvoir chasse un petit gibier de plus. J'encourage donc tout les chasseur Québecois à aller signer la pétition.

How does Quebec not have a season for squirrel??

I actually don't know the reason why squirrels are not on the small game list... We have a season for small game and it includes most of them but the squirrel was left out.

I guess squirrel hunting is not regulated and permitted year-round.

Squirrels are considered fur bearing species out here. I'd check.
