Squirrels 22lr cci quites

Trapping really doesn’t work. Squirrels are territorial and will fight to the death or chase the intruder away. “Domino effect” and a new squirrel pops up in your neighborhood. Had trouble one year and removed 34 squirrels from the front trees, dad had to pay for the .410 shells, expensive. The herd was thinned for years

i have shot them out of a 22l4 bolt action with a 20inch barrel you can hear the "click" of the firing pin hitting the shell. they are whisper quiet. in my semi auto 22 they are much louder.

I have shot two grouse with cci quiets.
One was a head shot that some how the bird took off. Needed my dog to find it
Then one was just above the breast meat through the back. Took me 5 min to find that one.

Just not enough jam IME. But for squirrel it will probably be ok.

They have a super-explosive segmented HP sub-sonic 710 FPS CCI Quiet. That's what I'd use because it should, within 25m, zero to the same point, and be very explosive.
