Nutnfancy's SR-15 review auto played and I watched his intro. He is less than thrilled with the one he tried. He apparently "isn't in the know".

I agree that LMT's MARS lower is superior to KAC's.

I can't speak to superiority, but it was the only readily available FULLY ambi lower in Canada at the time and I figured LMT spoke for itself.

I think the full LMT rifles with MARS lowers are worthy of consideration in this debate, piston or otherwise.

LMT uses a modified KAC forging for their ambi lower. And yes, LMT is on par with KAC.

For a decent price point, only option is importing one. Questar is the only place where I've seen LMT in stock and they don't give anything away. *cough* Thousand dollar Glocks *cough cough*

As mentioned above, check out LWRCI. Full DI rifles, with fully ambi lowers, can be had for under $1500 US.

They were around $1100 a few months ago. Perhaps they'll go on sale again. I fell like the lower is for sure a good starting point.

Garand Thumb is entertaining. Trex is in the same category as that TrueExodus guy. Not good.

Like his review. Have the exact same rifle with the 11.5" barrel and the same 3.1 hand guard. Would be my last AR to go as well.
