What are the SR-22 guys running for ammo that groups well with the stock barrel? I've got a 10/22 with a SR-22 barrel and am not impressed with my groupings. I have been using federal champion bulk packs. I do not want to use match ammo but cheap ammo that this gun will like. Any preferences?

Mine seems to like the CCI Blazer quite a bit...actually I like them also in all my .22LR's.

I use Federal bulk ammo, Winchester ammo, and Walmart stuff (555, 333) it all seems to work fine, I have a few FTF, and FTE, and a few times I have the issue that it wont even load, but when I look at the ammo, the head is slightly off center. Never had a problem otherwise. I have found that any brand works for mine, but mine seems to especially like the copper plated stuff best. Lead bullets seems to not work as well but they still work decently.

Every rifle is different. You have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your rifle shoots best and cycles the action. The price of it means nothing.

If you're looking to run the cheapest bulk ammo you can buy, then try Winchester Dynapoints. They're re the most accurate in my SR22.

This sr-22 barrel and cci Stinger are a match made in heaven, i just bought a case of Stinger (5000 rounds) My sr-22 make grouping very tight ( the best ) with that ammo and i am not alone, sure they are expensive but one inch groups at 100 metres with powerfull ammo have a price... Good shooting. JP.

Both Fed 711b and SK don't do well in my SR22 and are outperformed by cheaper brands. Eley sporter is so-so but really not worth the extra $. Fed bulk packs shoot alright and Blazers do pretty good too. Remington target sux and is filthy to boot. Thunderbolts shot well with one lot and not so good with another so I'm not sure whats up with that.
