SR-22 Barrel Thread

I am thinking about putting together a mock supressor for my sr-22 but can't, for the life of me, find what the thread count/size on the barrel is.

Can anybody help me out?

If your putting a threaded fake can on the end of the barrel, it will most likely be 1/2-28.
Therefore, your barrel needs to be threaded the same.

Is that what the barrel is threaded? I'll be building around what the barrel is already done at.

Its 1/2-28 on the version with the threaded barrel, as Wham-O said.

I got a tap off of eBay so should be getting my machinist pal working fairly soon, as long as my fake can doesn't change noise it's still considered fake right?

The other posters are almost certainly right: 1/2x28. Cheap way to check: head down to your gun shop and pick up a cheap AR flash surpressor and thread it on. That will confirm it.

If your going to use a tap, just make sure you stay 90 degrees to the crown. You don't want your fake can pointing off in a direction that doesn't match your gun ..
