I have a sr-22 and the barrel is not threaded. I want to put a basic slip on black shroud similar to the marauder kit one (but my barrel is .750" diameter and not tapered so the marauder kit one will not fit). Does anyone know where I can find something very similar, if not identical, to the marauder kit fake silencer that will fit a stock sr-22 barrel? I prefer one that will slip on to be flush with the tip of barrel because I do not want to increase the length. I have been browsing online but have had no luck finding anything specific for a .750 barrel. I even looked at paintball fake suppressors but they are made for 1" or 7/8" barrels.

Any help is much appreciated!

Here is a pic I found that resembles what I am looking for:

If you decide to go the fake paintball supressor route as i did with my mossy tac. .22 ill share what worked for me. I went more for a barrel shroud look and once i found the one i liked i went to lordco and bought some heater hose that would fit snuggly over my barrel. the thickness of heater hose completely eliminated any slop in the shroud and can still easily be removed if needed. 5/8 is what worked for me.

That's a pretty cool shroud you made! I ended up ordering a barrel shroud from the states (I won't state the website since they are not a sponsor). If anyone is interested in getting one they do custom orders. I ordered one that was designed for a mossberg tactical 22 and they bored it to .750" for free which was nice. It is getting anodized tomorrow, I'll post pics when I get it!

PM me if you want more info about where I bought mine

I bought a 5" version of this (sorry for the ENORMOUS size):

Which will look kinda like this on my sr-22:

Gump132 - how come your M&P 15-22 has "M&P 15-22" marking on it? Mine doesn't.

Here is my fake can. It is made by Spike's tactical and got it from Brownells for $29.99

how much is it going to cost you with shipping and all that?

Far too much :S I feel a little silly spending so much on a barrel shroud but my heart was set on one! For the 5" custom shroud it was $60.... shipping was $32 :(

I have mentioned it that Brownells only has it for $29.99. Maybe because yours is custom, that is why they cost so much.

That's one reason I went with a custom one. I did not want to pay to get my barrel threaded and I had a hell of a time finding any fake cans that didn't require it. Since I am only shooting a .22 and it is just for looks, I didn't mind paying a bit extra to get one that did not require threading. They use a set screw to hold it in place. If you wanna prevent your barrel from scratching just put a piece of electrical tape over the barrel where the screw goes.

I don't have it yet but I will post back with pics and brief review of it when it arrives (hopefully soon!)

The fake suppressor they carry is for a .720" barrel. The Sr-22 has a .750" barrel. Plus, as mentioned before, my Sr-22 does not have a threaded barrel. Doesn't seem like there is a big market to make fake suppressors for Sr-22's without first being threaded.
