So who is running what for non-original rear stocks, pics, why, and costs please. SHOW THEM OFF BOYS!!!!!! Mine is in the mail and I am looking to upgrade the factory stock as one of my few mods. I will also be getting a buffer and extractor and an optic. maybe co-witness long run?? I dunno yet but I want a different rear stock, can the original tube be used as well or will a tube be needed as well??

So does it go on with the stock tube?? What was it worth??
Providing your tube is not a "fixed" then all you need to do is take off your current stock off yours and buy a "milspec" Magpul CTR and slap it on. They go for around $150 shipped.

As I type i'm waiting for the CTR I ordered a few days ago from Blaxun to put on my SR... I keep on refreshing the Canada post tracking page, but still no progress since yesterday!! Still sitting in saskatoon at the postal facility..

I have a CAA collapsible buttstock with the cheek piece attachment. Bought it on the advice from this forum and it was a great decision. MIne is all black, but this picture shows detail well:
The butt-end is angled and rubberized (much, much better than stock) while the fully adjustable cheek piece allows for perfect fit and feel, especially with the scope. Snaps right on the stock tube.

That is the color matchup I was looking at as well. I want a black and tan gun, I have too many all black now. What was that CAA setup worth??

It's not too much at all... I want to put the most $/consideration into the guns I shoot the most, and realizing ammo costs one helluva lot more than the rifles & pistols & shottys cost themselves, depending on mileage over time, I shoot a lot more 22 than anything else now..I had a milspec CTR on mine up till a couple days ago, but I am upgrading to a UBR type one instead. I got it from Fabsports in Quebec, it was $60 for the stock and $30 for the cheek piece. Shipping to BC was $14. Great deal.
However, at the time they only had them in black.
This is the UBR that I am getting. I got Jay/Blaxsun to do up a custom color scheme for me. I love FDE ... I had him mix and match the components and this is what I got.
The one with FDE with Black highlights (bottom left) is mine.
The other one pictured (top right) is Black with FDE highlights and sold just as fast as mine. At this time the are both one of a kind
