SR-22 Scope - reccomendations please

Hi everyone,

I have a Ruger SR-22 but I have tried a couple of scopes that don't work because I can't "zero" them low enough.

I would love to know what some other nutz are using on their SR-22.

What base are you using? Does it get the scope high enough?

I just installed a Vortex Strikefire a couple weeks ago. Its not too bad at a 100 yards.

That is a Burris PEPR mount. The height seems just right to me.

If you can't zero it low enough, you can keep the same scope with two options. The cheapest option is to bed the rear ring with a bit of epoxy (release agent on the scope) to cant it a bit so that your adjustment range gets your POI in line with your POA. The other option is to look at the Burris Signature Zee line of rings which allow you to put offset inserts into the ring and get you an additional 20 MOA in the direction you want (+/- 10 MOA inserts used together).

^ I wonder if you could just put a shim under the rear ring mount, where it attaches to the pic rail (assuming its a separate front / rear ring set up)?

I am thinking about getting an sr22 in the near future, I love the way it looks with the short barrel but I am guessing it turns into a restricted?

Nope, that rifle is non-restircted
