Iv had this SR-22 rifle for a few months worked great up untill recently where it almost stove pipes every time.

I tried 3 or 4 different kinds of ammo all the same problem anyone run into this?

Thanks

Iv only fired probably 300 rounds through it, but ya I was gonna take it apart today for a cleaning anyways , also is the guide rod on the inside suppose to be loose? The end doesnt go in anything it moves around when I #### the bolt back! Iv tried looking up info but I get the ruger pistol info instead.

I have a cheap norinco M93 and I had alot of the same troubles as you. I found that after a few good cleanings and sticking to Federal bulk ammo the problem resolved itself. Even the more expensive cci ammo made no difference. Have about 1000 rounds through it now and shoots like a trouper without a hiccup.

I bet your extractor is missing in action! Just went through the same thing a few people with new sr22's have! I just replaced mine with a power custom titanium extractor and it runs like a champ!

Really what does that mean what is it missing? Where do I order that part?

Wow I guess I dont have an extractor! So what would I need to replace everything? I think my plunger is missign aswell?

Hmmm....my SR22 was one of the ones that fell apart, I was lucky to be shooting on a shooting mat and found the parts
It was my extractor/spring and plunger, I tore the gun down and re-assembled with the original parts, then went out and ran about 300 rounds through it.
I found while taking it apart that almost every screw on the gun was loose.
It shoots better than ever now.

Ya I guess I shot it out somehow, Great well Im going to give ruger a call and see what they can do for me other then that im not sure?

I would rather save money abd buy superior pars! Haha
As for the plunger you might have to go through ruger! But give bits a call first he might have them!

Every SR-22 would be tore down and then put back together when purchased. All an SR is is a 10-22 with an aluminum shell to make it look different.

Head over to rimfirecentral and read about 10-22 mods and you can improve both function and accuracy quite easily.
