SR-22 with Magpul PRS - anyone?

Hi Everyone.
Looking for some guidance and advice on the subject of my SR-22.
I don't know if it's my height or my posture, but I cannot get to like the way factory stock on my Ruger SR-22 feels to me. In a word, it is uncomfortable.
I'd like to be able to shoot it with the sling assist while standing, but just cannot find the right spot to fit it against my shoulder...
I'm thinking of replacing the stock with a Magpul PRS. It looks good and seems to have the adjustments that I could use, but it's not cheap.

Does anyone have this combination? If you do, please let me know if the PRS stock originally for AR-15 plus the receiver extension tube will work on the SR-22 or do I need any other extra parts?

The PRS stock is not cheap and not light. It is not suitable for offhand shooting. You didn't say what the problem was with the factory stock. You might try a Magpul CTR but I think the PRS on a SR22 would be a big mistake.

Yes, it's a sniper stock so I guess it makes sense that it's heavy and solid...

Maybe I should just try a rubber butt-pad of some sort? I know it's silly to have a recoil pad mounted on a recoil-less rifle, but it may help with the feel of the stock
The PRS is more than half the price of the SR22... so I definitely don't want it to end up being a big mistake.

If I understand your post ... the AR buttstock is more in line with the bore, making it straighter than the original stock where the butt drops below the bore line. So you have to crank your neck over more to look down the scope of the SR when the butt is squared into your shoulder. I think what would work best in this case (and cheaper) would be a CAA Stock or Tapco Strikeforce with an adjustable cheek piece and higher rings or a riser for your optic.

Something like this ... you can get them both from Fabsports for $100.00 and would fit onto the factory extension tube that comes with your SR22.

And I think that scope above would be to much for a .22 ... lol .. my .02!
